Electric Detonator



Description

Maxel® Instant is an instantaneous electric detonator. Maxel® Instant legwires are two single cooper wires covered with good electric insulating polyolefin. The end of legwires is protected by plastic cap from corrosion and stray current.

Maxel® Instant is designed to primarily initiate the blasting network or initiate the inhole explosives instantly.

Instruction for use

l  The detonator shall be checked before use. The detonators with serious erosion at its surface and lead wire and the break short circuit resistances beyond their limits shall not be used.

l  Before connection, the scale on the wire at the connection portion shall be removed with emery cloth and shall be securely connected. Then wrap the connection with insulated tape to avoid grounding so as to ensure good conductivity.

l  There should be no electric leakage in the instrument and apparatus used in the spot, and the acting current of the special instrument for measuring resistance can be more than 30mA.

l   The electric detonator shall never be touch electrified objects. The operation shall never be performed under the circumstance of strong electromagnetic field.




l  Only the leg wire can be hold while measuring resistance and the detonator must be in a protective device.

l  It is prohibited that one hand hold the detonator body with the other hand pulling the wire so as to avoid accident.

l  It is prohibited that the detonator body is hold entirely by hand during the operation so as to avoid accident.



Handling, transportation and storage

l  During handling and transportation, the product should be handled with great care, and shall never be dropped, knocked and impacted and shall be far away from heat source.

l  The detonators shall be kept in a dry and naturally well-ventilated storeroom equipped with lighting arrester.

l  For the unpacked detonators, if they all cannot be used soon, it should be kept back the package and stored into a dry storehouse to avoid moisture absorption.

l  The shelf life is one and half year in the originally package.

Property:
PPAN is short for Porous Prill Ammonium Nitrate. It is solid type, inorganic oxide, and subjected to decompose when contacting organic and at high temperature. Decomposition temperature is 210. The PPAN production adopts the KT technology of France, and the product is characterized by low content of water, anti-caking, high crushing strength, and high oil absorption.

Our PPAN is treated with anti-caking agent.

Usage:
PPAN is commonly used in agriculture as a high-nitrogen fertilizer. More importantly, PPAN has also been used as an oxidizing agent in explosives, including improvised explosive devices. It is the main component of ANFO, a popular explosive, which accounts for 80% explosives used in North America. Corresponding benefits are as follows:

PPAN is also used in instant cold packs, as hydrating the salt is an endothermic process.

25kg bag and 1,000kg bag with PE liner inside.

PPAN is extremely hygroscopic and must be stored in a cool, dry and unconfined space. Avoid contamination with organic material.

Special precautions: PPAN is moderately toxic; and may decompose under confinement and high temperature. Under extreme conditions an explosion may occur.
